The Bureau of Reclamation will be conducting maintenance work on Lake Way Boulevard Bridge in Cascade, Idaho, which will call for a temporary road closure to all traffic from September 27 through November 10, 2010.

The closure will be from the intersection of Dam Road and Lake Way Boulevard to the intersection of Lake Way Boulevard and Highway 55.

"We are closing the road for safety reasons," said Warren Sedlacek, Natural Resource Manager. "This closure prohibits all access including vehicles, pedestrians, horseback riders, and fishing. As soon as the work is completed the road will be reopened."

The bridge maintenance will include the removal of deteriorated protective coatings, applying new protective coatings, drilling holes in the deck, modifying existing guard rails, and removing some hazardous trees.
