BISMARK, N.D. - The Bureau of Reclamation would like to remind visitors to Belle Fourche Reservoir that fireworks are not allowed at the reservoir. A Bureau of Reclamation regulation restricts the possession or use of fireworks on Reclamation lands and water.

Fireworks are also restricted by South Dakota Department of Game, Fish, and Parks, who manage Rocky Point State Recreation Area and the wildlife area east of Belle Fourche Dam.

Campfires in enclosed fire rings will continue to be allowed this summer if conditions remain moist enough, and State or County burn bans are not in place.

To report a fire on the reservoir lands, call 911. To report a violation of these restrictions, contact Ranger Huston at 605-210-0412.

For more information regarding this restriction or other issues pertaining to Belle Fourche Reservoir, call Cindy Larom, Bureau of Reclamation, 605-394-9757. For questions related to Rocky Point State Recreation Area, contact Brad Nelson, South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks at 605-584-3896.
