Reclamation to Host Open House on Environmental Assessment for Historic Buildings in Boulder City, Nev.

The Bureau of Reclamation is hosting an open house to gather public input for the development of an Environmental Assessment that addresses refurbishment of the agency's historic buildings in Boulder City, Nev., known as Date Street 100 and 200. Procedures Reclamation will follow for compliance with the National Environmental Policy and National Historic Preservation Acts for these projects will also be detailed at this event.

Additionally, information will be presented about the status of a new 45,000 square-foot "green" building the agency is constructing at its Date Street Complex in Boulder City. Attendees can view architectural renderings of the building, learn about the construction timeframe for the project, and learn about the establishment of a work group to address traffic concerns around the complex.

What: Public Open House to gather input on Date Street Buildings 100 & 200 Environmental Assessment and other properties activities

When: Tuesday, June 8, 2010 / 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Where: Building 800 in Reclamation's Date Street Complex, bordered by Fir, Date and Colorado streets in Boulder City

Directions: From Nevada Highway (Business Route U.S. 93), turn west onto Fir Street; drive ¼ -mile and enter gate. Turn right just inside gate to access parking in front of Building 800 (Regional Training Center). Follow signs to access Training Room A between Building 500 and 800.
