Federal Employees Provide Gifts For 300 Children Through The "Gifts From The Heart" Program

For the fifteenth consecutive year, employees with the Bureau of Reclamation's Mid-Pacific Region are participating in the "Gifts From The Heart" program, helping to make the holidays a little merrier for 300 children in the Sacramento area.

Last Holiday Season, more than 3,820 children and 494 adults and seniors in Sacramento County received wrapped presents through this program; an estimated 10,000 gifts were distributed. "Gifts From The Heart" is coordinated by the Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services, Child Protective Services. The media is invited to the Federal Building, 2800 Cottage Way, Conference Room W-2620, Sacramento, California on Wednesday, December 8, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. or on Thursday, December 9, 2004, from 10 to 11 a.m. as volunteers sort and deliver the hundreds of wrapped gifts.
