Reclamation Releases Final Lake Casitas Resource Management Plan - Environmental Impact Statement

Interactive picture of Lake Casitas Dam - click to see the recreational opportunities availableThe Bureau of Reclamation has released the Final Lake Casitas Resource Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement (RMP/EIS).  Located in Ventura County, Lake Casitas was built and is owned by Reclamation and is operated and maintained by the Casitas Municipal Water District (CMWD).  CMWD also manages the recreation area and adjacent open space lands - the Lake Casitas Recreation Area

The RMP is a long-term plan aimed at enhancing recreational uses while protecting water quality, water supply and natural resources.  The Final RMP/EIS was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and is available online. Following the 30-day notice of publication of the Final RMP/EIS, Reclamation will prepare a Record of Decision (ROD).  The ROD will identify the decision and discuss the relevant factors considered.
