The Bureau of Reclamation has released a Draft Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact (EA/FONSI) for a short-term transfer of water from the Anderson-Cottonwood Irrigation District to the City of Shasta Lake (City).  The transfer would provide up to 1,000 acre-feet of water from April through October 2010 by withdrawing water from Shasta Reservoir through the City's 950-foot elevation point of diversion at Shasta Dam.  The purpose of the transfer is to help supplement water supplies for the 2010 water year.

The Draft EA/FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and are available online.  If you encounter problems accessing the documents online, please call 916-978-5100 or e-mail mpPublicAffairs@usbr.gov.
