The Bureau of Reclamation announces the availability for public review and comment of a Draft Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact (EA/FONSI) for the installation of a second community drinking water well on the Wiyot Tribe's (Tribe) Table Bluff Reservation in Northern California.

The Tribe has been impacted by the drought resulting in damaging effects to the health and safety of its tribal members. Under the Reclamation States Emergency Drought Relief Act of 1991 (Act), as amended, and other authorities, Reclamation is using the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to fund emergency drought relief projects that can quickly and effectively mitigate the consequences of the current drought in California.  In compliance with Section 104 of the Act, the Tribe declared a drought emergency and requests Reclamation's assistance to install a second community drinking water well on the Table Bluff Reservation.

The Draft EA/FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and are available online at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=4997.  If you encounter problems accessing documents online, please call 916-978-5100 or e-mail mppublicaffairs@usbr.gov.
