The Bureau of Reclamation and the California Department of Parks and Recreation (State Parks) announce the availability of the Final Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report (EIS/EIR) for the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area General Plan/Resource Management Plan (GP/RMP).

The Final EIS/EIR evaluated approximately 20,000 acres of water and land principally owned by Reclamation and managed by State Parks, Gold Fields District.  The GP/RMP provides a defined purpose, vision, long-term goals, and management guidelines to be used by Reclamation and State Parks for decision-making related to management and public use of the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area.

The Final EIS/EIR is available online at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=543.  It was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and the California Environmental Quality Act.  If you encounter problems accessing the document online, please call 916-978-5100 or e-mail mppublicaffairs@usbr.gov
