Reclamation Releases for Public Review a Draft Contract with California Department of Fish and Game to Provide Water to State Fish Hatchery

The Bureau of Reclamation has released for public review and comment a draft contract with the State of California, Department of Fish and Game, to provide Central Valley Project water to the State-owned San Joaquin Fish Hatchery (Hatchery) downstream of Friant Dam at Millerton Lake.  The 10-year contract, to begin in April 2010, would establish the terms and conditions for the Hatchery to receive water directly from the dam and return the water to the San Joaquin River. Friant Dam is located about 20 miles north of Fresno, California.
