Reclamation Announces the Release of the Draft EA/FONSI on Arvin-Edison Water Storage District Delivery of Central Valley Project Water to Improvement District #4

The Bureau of Reclamation announces the availability of the Draft Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact (EA/FONSI) on a proposal for Arvin-Edison Water Storage District (AEWSD) to deliver 10,000 acre-feet of its Central Valley Project (CVP) water to Kern County Water Agency Improvement District #4 (ID4). The CVP water would be conveyed in the Friant-Kern Canal to the Canal's terminus where the water would be diverted for delivery into ID4. The Proposed Action is aimed at providing supplemental surface water to ID4 to help offset the effects of a dry year. This effort would be completed by the end of the 2010 calendar year.
