Draft EA/FONSI Available for Approval for Delano-Earlimart Irrigation District to Bank its CVP Water in Rosedale-Rio Bravo Water Storage District

The Bureau of Reclamation has released the Draft Environmental Assessment/Finding of No Significant Impact (EA/FONSI) for approving Delano-Earlimart Irrigation District (DEID) to bank its Central Valley Project (CVP) water outside of its contract service area boundary in Rosedale-Rio Water Storage District (RRBWSD) groundwater bank.  DEID would be able to bank up to 80,000 acre-feet per year of its CVP water in RRBWSD, not to exceed a maximum total of 100,000 acre-feet stored at any given time.  Upon request, RRBWSD would return up to 10,000 acre-feet per year to DEID.  DEID would bank water in RRBWSD in wet years and the water would be returned to DEID during dry years.  The approval would apply through February 2026.
