Reclamation Begins Contract Renewal Negotiations with the California Department of Fish and Game for Use of San Joaquin River Water for San Joaquin Fish Hatchery

The Bureau of Reclamation will hold its first negotiation session to renew the water service contract with the State of California, Department of Fish and Game, for use of San Joaquin River water from Millerton Reservoir (Friant Dam) by the State-owned San Joaquin Fish Hatchery (Hatchery) downstream of Friant Dam. The contract renewal will establish the terms and conditions for the Hatchery to continue receiving water directly from Friant Dam and return the water to the San Joaquin River. The first negotiation meeting will be held in:

Fresno Thursday, September 24, 2009, at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reclamation, South-Central California Area Office 1243 N Street

The public is welcome to attend and will have the opportunity to comment. Participation instructions will be provided at the session's beginning, and the proposed contract and other pertinent documents will be available at the session.
