Reclamation Releases Draft EA/FONSI for the Tranquillity Irrigation District - San Luis Water District Groundwater Exchange Program - 2009 through 2011

The Bureau of Reclamation has made available for public review and comment the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) and Draft Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) analyzing the impacts of the Tranquillity Irrigation District/San Luis Water District Groundwater Exchange Program - 2009 through 2011. The program would allow groundwater to be pumped into Mendota Pool from the Tranquillity Irrigation District in exchange for Central Valley Project (CVP) water to be delivered to San Luis Water District.

The Draft EA and FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, and are available online at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=4317.
