Bureau of Reclamation Issues Finding of No Significant Impact on Plan to Repair Captain Tom Dam

The Bureau of Reclamation has issued a Finding of No Significant Impact on a proposal to correct safety deficiencies associated with Captain Tom Dam on the Navajo Nation in San Juan County, New Mexico. Proposed corrective measures include replacing the outlet works and stabilizing the embankment on the existing dam. A revised draft Environmental Assessment was released in March 2009. No public comments were received on the revised draft Environmental Assessment.
