Reclamation Schedules C.A.S.T. for Kids Fishing Event at Lake Berryessa

The Bureau of Reclamation, in partnership with the C.A.S.T. (Catch A Special Thrill) for Kids Foundation and Pleasure Cove Marina, will be hosting a free kids fishing event at Lake Berryessa on Saturday, June 27, 2009. The C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation is a non-profit organization that introduces children with special needs to the outdoors and natural resources through the sport of fishing. The foundation gives kids the opportunity to pair up with volunteers for a day out on the water and hopefully come back with some great fish stories.
The event will be held at Pleasure Cove Marina at Lake Berryessa on June 27, 2009, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants will need to arrive by 8 a.m. to register and receive their equipment which includes a fishing rod and reel, tackle box, tackle, and T-shirt. Participants will get out on the water by 9 a.m. and fish until around noon. A barbeque lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. with an awards ceremony to follow.
Reclamation welcomes any disabled and/or disadvantaged children who would like to participate in this event.
