Bureau of Reclamation Announces Yellowtail Spring Coordination Meetings

The Annual Spring Bighorn Basin Interagency Coordination Meeting, followed by the Bighorn River System Issues Group Meeting, hosted by the Bureau of Reclamation, will be held on Thursday, April 2, in Billings, Montana. The meetings will take place at the Montana State University  Downtown Campus Building; 2804 3rd Avenue North; Room Broadway III-A. The annual Spring Bighorn Basin Interagency Coordination Meeting is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon, followed by the Bighorn River System Issues Group Meeting from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The Bighorn Basin Interagency Coordination Meeting is a multi-agency meeting that is open to the public and involves representatives of Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks; Wyoming Game and Fish; Bureau of Reclamation; the National Park Service; the Western Area Power Administration; the Bureau of Indian Affairs; and the Crow Tribe. As part of the agenda, the Bureau of Reclamation will address the 2009 water supply outlook, and present the agencys proposed reservoir operations for this spring and summer.

The Bighorn River System Issues Group, that meet several times a year, was formed to identify, explore, and recommend long-term, strategic courses of action to local, tribal, state, and federal entities that are responsible for managing the Bighorn River system resources.
