For Release: December 18, 2008

In November 2007, Reclamation initiated a public process to help determine appropriate future recreation facilities or services to be provided at Kim's Marina on Canyon Ferry Reservoir, near Helena, Mont.

As part of that public process, two reports were produced under contract with Aukerman & Associates. The two reports; Public Comment Summary and Analysis Report and Potential Infrastructure Alternatives, Facilities and Services for the Kim's Marina Concession Area provide Reclamation and the concessionaire with information regarding alternative facilities and/or services that will best serve the needs of the recreating public in the foreseeable future.

The reports summarize public comment and provide information on the technical and financial viability of various alternatives that will assist the concession operators and Reclamation in making sound business decisions at Kim's Marina.

Both reports are available on Reclamation's website at: www.usbr.gov/gp/mtao/concessions/. Questions concerning the reports or the public involvement process should be directed to Ms. Paula Holwegner of Reclamation's Montana Area Office at (406) 247-7300.
