Draft EA/FONSI Available for the Santa Clara Conduit Shutdown, Inspection, and Repair Project

The Bureau of Reclamation has released a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) and Draft Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Santa Clara Conduit Shutdown, Inspection, and Repair Project that defines actions necessary for maintenance and repair of the Santa Clara Conduit.
Reclamation owns the Santa Clara Conduit. The Santa Clara Valley Water District (District) performs the operation and maintenance on the Santa Clara Conduit under an agreement with Reclamation. Reclamation proposes to approve the shutdown, inspection, repair, and refilling of the Santa Clara Conduit as planned by the District.
The Draft EA and FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, and are available for public review and comment.
