Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner Robert Johnson today announced the award of a contract with a potential value of $5 million over a four-year period to Qualified Construction Solutions, Inc., of Sonoita, Arizona.
The contract is for construction and installation of security fencing for maintenance material stockpiles along the lower Colorado River from the U.S. border with Mexico to Davis Dam in southern Nevada, and adjacent to canal and water storage facilities associated with the Drop 2 Reservoir Project in southern California.
"Reclamation maintains approximately 60 material stockpiles along the lower Colorado for levee and roadway maintenance work on levees and roads, bankline stabilization, and other purposes," said Commissioner Johnson. "This fencing will provide a much needed and higher level of security for these materials."
