The Bureau of Reclamation is planning to complete several small construction projects at Canyon Ferry Reservoir, Mont. this fall. Projects will be completed at Overlook, Lorelei, Crittenden, and Orchard Day Use Areas; Riverside Campground; Shannon Recreation Area; and Fish Hawk Campground. The work will involve the construction of universally accessible parking spaces, sidewalks, campsites, picnic sites, and picnic shelters.
The projects are scheduled to begin on Nov. 3, and are anticipated to take approximately four months to complete. Construction activities may need to be suspended due to weather conditions, which could extend project duration. The campgrounds and recreation sites will remain open during construction, but access to the sites may be restricted periodically.
The contractor performing the project will be C STAR Joint Venture from Billings, Mont. For more specific information, please contact Shawn Bryant at 406-475-3922.
