Reclamation Extends Comment Period on DEIS

Reclamation is in the process of extending the public comment period on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed Windy Gap Firming Project. An additional 62 days will be allowed to provide comment on the Draft EIS. The new deadline for public comments will be December 29, 2008.

Over the past week, Reclamation held two public open houses and public hearings to present the Draft EIS and collect comments from the public. The first open house and public hearing was held in Loveland on October 7. The second was held in Granby on October 9. A total of 209 people attended both meetings.
