5th Annual "Tri, Girl, Tri" Triathlon to be Held at Lake Berryessa on Saturday Morning, October 11, 2008

The Bureau of Reclamation announces that on Saturday, October 11, 2008, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, Lake Berryessa will host the 5th annual Enviro-Sports all-women's triathlon, "Tri, Girl, Tri," which includes a ½-mile swim, 11-mile bike ride, and 3-mile run.  The triathlon will be headquartered at  Lake Berryessa's Oak Shores Day Use Area.  Access to Oak Shores will be limited to triathlon participants until noon that Saturday. 

Napa County has issued a permit for the triathlon to Enviro-Sports which requires closure to through traffic of an 8-mile stretch of Knoxville Road along Lake Berryessa's west side.  From 9 a.m. to noon, Knoxville Road will be closed from Spanish Flat Loop Road to the intersection of Knoxville and Pope Canyon Roads.  The California Highway Patrol will be available for escort of local traffic during the event as participant safety allows.
