The Bureau of Reclamation will deliver 11 surplus computers and associated equipment to Huntley Project High School today.

The total value of computers donated to the school is in excess of $3,000.

Regional Director Mike Ryan said he is glad Reclamation is able to assist the school.

"Computers are a key aspect of how students learn every day," Ryan said. "I'm delighted that we are able to help the students of Huntley get the tools they need to succeed."

The donation is part of a federal program of distributing surplus computer equipment to nonprofit organizations in need, particularly schools.

"These computers were for our staff and when we went through an upgrade they became available for donation. The hard drives were wiped clean and these are very good computers," said Reclamation's Business Resource Manger Jamie Macartney.
