Reclamation and Corps to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement on Intake Diversion Dam: public meetings scheduled

The Bureau of Reclamation in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has issued a Federal Register Notice announcing the intent to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement for the Intake Diversion Dam Modification, Lower Yellowstone Project, located near Glendive, Montana.

Three public meetings are scheduled to provide information about possible structural modifications to the Intake Diversion Dam to improve fish passage, reduce entrapment of fish in the canal system, and identify impacts to the environment.

The public will have an opportunity to provide comments. Staff from Reclamation, the Corps, and other agencies will be available to address questions on options currently being studied.
