Use of Bureau of Reclamation Land, Facilities, and Waterbodies Information Meeting

John H. Lawson, Bureau of Reclamation Wyoming Area Manager, announced that an informational meeting regarding the Use of Bureau of Reclamation Land, Facilities, and Waterbodies, has been scheduled in Casper, Wyoming.

At the meeting, information will be presented regarding proposed rule changes on the Use of Bureau of Reclamation Land, Facilities, and Waterbodies, 43 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 429. The meeting will be held at the Ramkota Hotel in Casper, Wyoming, on August 28, 2008, starting at 6:00 p.m. The Ramkota Hotel is located at Exit 188B on the corner of Poplar Street and Interstate 25.

The existing rule was first published in 1983 and slightly modified in 2006. Additional proposed revisions to the rule to address use of Federal land and cost recovery were published on July 18, 2007, for a 90-day comment period. As a result of comments received, the proposed rule has been revised and published in the Federal Register on July 18, 2008, for an additional 60-day comment period ending September 16, 2008. The proposed rule is available online at http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/2008/pdf/E8-16496.pdf.
