Public Review Schedule for Sacramento River Settlement Contract and Related Environmental Documentation

The Bureau of Reclamation is providing the following to clarify comment periods related to ongoing contract renewal efforts and development of related environmental documentation.

As noticed in the Federal Register on October 1, 2004, the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed long-term renewal of Central Valley Project settlement contracts between Reclamation and up to 145 Sacramento River Settlement Contractors is available for a 45-day public review and comment period. The draft document is available online at www.usbr.gov/mp/cvpia/3404c/index.html, click on Draft EISs, and scroll to Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Renewal of Sacramento River Settlement Contracts. Written comments must be received by close of business on Monday, November 15, 2004, and should be sent to: Mr. Buford Holt, Bureau of Reclamation, Northern California Area Office, 16349 Shasta Dam Boulevard, Shasta Lake, CA 96019. As a reminder, a public hearing is scheduled on Wednesday, October, 27, 2004, at the Monday Afternoon Club, 120 North Lassen Street, Willows, CA, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., to receive comments on the Draft EIS for the proposed long-term renewal of CVP settlement contracts.

As noticed in Press Release MP-04-080, on October 8, 2004, the Anderson Cottonwood Irrigation District contract is available for a 60-day public review and comment period. The form of contract is available online at www.usbr.gov/mp/cvpia/3404c/index.html, click on 2004 Settlement Contractors Forms of Contract and scroll to Anderson Cottonwood Irrigation District. Written comments must be received by close of business on Monday, December 6, 2004, and should be sent to: Mr. Donald Bultema, Bureau of Reclamation, P.O. Box 988, Willows CA 95988.
