Reclamation Announces Summer Hours at Canyon Ferry Visitor Center

The Bureau of Reclamation would like to invite the public to visit the Canyon Ferry Visitor Center during the 2008 recreation season. It will be open May 23 through September 1. The hours of operation are:

  • Friday: 12:00 Noon to 4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Visitor Center is a two-room school house built in the early 1900's. It offers displays and a video about construction of the Canyon Ferry Dam and Reservoir and displays about Lewis and Clark's journey through Montana. In addition to the attractions in the Visitor Center, wildlife can be observed around the reservoir.
