Reclamation Releases Draft Environmental Assessment for the Upper Klamath Lake Fish Screen Program

The Bureau of Reclamation has released a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) that evaluates the Upper Klamath Lake Fish Screen Program.  Reclamation proposes to provide funding to Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to install fish screens on irrigation diversions located on Upper Klamath Lake and Agency Lake near Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Reclamation is striving to minimize the number of endangered Lost River and shortnose suckers diverted into irrigation systems from Upper Klamath Lake and Agency Lake.
