For Release: April 26, 2007

The Bureau of Reclamations Trinity River Restoration Program Office announces the 2007 dry year daily flow release schedule from Lewiston Dam to the Trinity River.  This classification is based on the April 2007 50-percent exceedence forecast from the California Department of Water Resources.

The water allocation associated with a dry year is a total of 453,000 acre-feet, and the release schedule calls for releases to remain at 300 cubic feet per second (cfs) through April 26, 2007.

These releases will be increased starting on April 27, 2007, in increments of 600 to 1,000 cfs per day peaking at 4,500 cfs on May 1, 2007.  This peak release will be held for 5 days, then flows will gradually be decreased until summer baseflow releases of 450 cfs are reached on June 25, 2007.  The summer baseflows will be held at 450 cfs through October 15, 2007.

The 2007 release schedule from Lewiston Dam was approved by the Trinity Management Council on March 29, 2007.  To view the new schedule, please visit Reclamations Trinity River Restoration Program website at www.trrp.net/
