Technical work Group to Meet on Colorado River Issues

The Technical Work Group of the Adaptive Management Work Group will meet April 2-3, 2007, in Phoenix, Ariz., to address issues related to the Glen Canyon Dam Adaptive Management Program and the Colorado River.
Technical Work Group meetings are held to discuss technical issues and facilitate recommendations for use by the Adaptive Management Work Group, a Federal Advisory Committee to the Secretary of the Interior on issues related to the operation of Glen Canyon Dam and management of downstream resources in Glen and Grand Canyons. Noteworthy agenda items include updates, discussions and potential actions on non-native fish management plans, endangered humpback chub, sediment augmentation, tribal resource monitoring development and budget development for Fiscal Year 2008. The meeting is open to the public.
The Technical Work Group is a sub-committee of the Adaptive Management Work Group and is comprised of technical representatives who represent members of the Glen Canyon Dam Adaptive Management Program. Responsibilities of the Technical Work Group include the development of criteria and standards for monitoring and research programs; provide periodic reviews and updates; and provide information, as necessary, to the Adaptive Management Work Group.
The meeting will be held at Bureau of Indian Affairs, 2 Arizona Center, 400 N. 5th St., 12th Floor Conference Room. The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m., PST, on the first day and will run from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., PST, the second day.
