Draft Environmental Documents Available for 1-Year Warren Act Contract with Madera Irrigation District (Soquel) Water Supply 2007

The Bureau of Reclamation announces the availability of the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) and the Draft Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for a temporary Warren Act contract for 1 year with Madera Irrigation District (MID).  The purpose is to convey up to 10,000 acre-feet of non-Central Valley Project (Project) water through the Friant facilities and Madera Canal for delivery into MID.  In addition, Reclamation would allow a change in the point of diversion of up to 40 acre-feet of the 10,000 acre-feet of non-Project water into Fresno County Water Works #18’s (FCWW #18) existing facilities for ultimate delivery to Table Mountain Rancheria for municipal and industrial purposes.  Up to 40 acre-feet of non-Project water would be delivered through FCWW #18’s existing point of diversion from Friant Dam.
