Reclamation Seeking Volunteers for the American River Water Education Center

The Bureau of Reclamation is recruiting and training volunteers for a limited time to conduct environmental education programs for elementary school students visiting the American River Water Education Center at Folsom Dam. Programs address the water cycle, the American River watershed, and water conservation principles.

People interested in working in a rewarding and fun atmosphere on a volunteer basis and available to donate a minimum of four hours per week should phone Volunteer Coordinator Frank Sumrak at 916-989-7289 or e-mail fsumrak@mp.usbr.gov to request a volunteer application. Background checks are mandatory for these positions. The deadline for receiving completed applications is January 8, 2007.
