Working Session on the Organizational Structure for the Klamath River Basin Conservation Implementation Program

The Klamath River Basin Conservation Implementation Program (CIP) Working Session will be held on December 6-7, 2006, in Medford, Oregon. The primary objective of the 2-day session is to gain agreement on the proposed organizational structure and 1st-year goals for implementing the CIP. The Bureau of Reclamation is hosting the event and invites all interested individuals to attend the Working Session to be held:

Medford, Oregon
Wednesday, December 6, 2006 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Continuing on Thursday, December 7, 2006 – 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Red Lion Hotel, 200 N. Riverside Avenue

The CIP is a mechanism by which participants will work together to restore the Klamath River Basin ecosystem; further fulfill tribal trust responsibilities of the Federal Government; allow continued, sustainable use of water; and foster lasting partnerships between Governments and private stakeholders. The CIP is intended to coordinate conservation and restoration efforts throughout the Klamath River Basin. Further the CIP will provide technical and funding resources to achieve Basin ecosystem restoration and water management goals.
