For Release: September 15, 2006

The Bureau of Reclamation announces that effective Monday, September 18, 2006, through Wednesday, November 15, 2006, boat traffic will be unable to pass through the Delta Cross Channel gates due to maintenance work being performed. The gates will be open; however, scaffolding will block the actual gate opening so traffic cannot pass through. Boaters should plan on using alternative travel routes during this period. Should it become necessary to extend the work schedule, an announcement will be published immediately.
