The summer recreation season is fast approaching in Idaho and the Bureau of Reclamation is ready to help boaters who have internet access with fast and accurate information on boat ramp access at many area reservoirs.

Finding out boat ramp water elevations at nearby reservoirs is as easy as a click of the mouse when logged on to Reclamation's website at www.usbr.gov/pn/hydromet/ and clicking "Boat Ramps".

This site will offer the most recent boat ramp access information for selected Reclamation reservoirs in Idaho and one U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility near Boise.

"We think this will be very helpful for people who enjoy summer boating on many of the reservoirs in our area," said Lisa Wuttke, Reclamation Hydraulic Engineer. "Our new website should be a timesaver for people who haul their boats to many of our reservoirs."

Wuttke said she is working to include maps and driving directions which will be included on the website in the near future, but for now, boaters will be able to see accurate water levels at their favorite reservoir.

Reservoirs listed on the website include:

American Falls Reservoir on the Snake River about 21 miles southwest of Pocatello, Idaho.

Anderson Ranch Reservoir on the South Fork of the Boise River about 70 miles southeast of Boise, Idaho.

Arrowrock Reservoir on the Boise River about 22 miles upstream from Boise, Idaho.
