Reclamation Selects New Regional IT Officer

The Bureau of Reclamation announced today that Rich Goes has been selected for the position of Regional Information Technology Officer for the Pacific Northwest Region.

Mr. Goes comes to Reclamation from Hewlett-Packard where he worked nine years as the technical workshop manager supporting enterprise-level application servers across the United States. In addition, he also held various management and technical IT support roles at HP.

"I'm very pleased that Rich has accepted this position," said Bill McDonald, Regional Director. "His strong technical background, proven track record of managing complex enterprise IT environments, and team leadership skills make him ideally suited to be our Regional IT Officer."

Mr. Goes holds a bachelor's degree from Arizona State University, an MBA from Golden Gate University, and has completed computer science graduate studies at the University of Idaho. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional as well as a Cisco Certified Network Associate.

He is an active volunteer with the Boise Chapter of the Boy Scouts of America where he serves as an assistant troop scoutmaster. He has several personal interests including martial arts, running, and backcountry camping and skiing.

Mr. Goes, his wife Cindee, and their two sons, Robert and Christopher, live in Boise, Idaho.
