Reclamation announces public meeting to discuss Buffalo Bill Reservoir water supply and water operations

POWELL, Wyo. – The Bureau of Reclamation has scheduled a Buffalo Bill Reservoir Water Information Meeting in Powell, Wyoming.

The meeting will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 4, at the Northwest College Center for Training and Development, located at 1102 East 7th Street, Powell, Wyoming.

Topics of discussion will be:

  • Current water supply conditions
  • The spring 2025 snowmelt runoff forecast
  • 2025 projected reservoir operations

 

Buffalo Bill Reservoir near Cody, Wyoming, has a storage capacity of 646,565 acre-feet and provides irrigation water to approximately 95,000 acres. It is a source of municipal water supply to multiple communities, and its power generation facilities provide electricity to thousands of homes.
