Reclamation announces $7 million funding opportunity for Tribal water projects

WASHINGTON — The Bureau of Reclamation announces $7 million available through the Native American Affairs Program to support Tribes in their efforts to develop, manage, and protect Tribal water and related resources.  

 Reclamation encourages Tribes in the 17 western states to apply. Each selected Tribal water project is eligible to receive up to $1 million by grant or cooperative agreement in fiscal year 2025, with maximum award per applicant $2 million.  

Applications are due on Feb. 27, 2025, at 4 p.m. MST. This funding opportunity, R25AS00016, is available at www.grants.gov and https://www.usbr.gov/native/programs/TAPprogram.html.  

Tribes may submit proposals through www.grants.gov. Additionally, in efforts to increase accessibility and meet the diverse needs of applicants, Reclamation is accepting paper copy and email applications.
