Reclamation announces seasonal closures and hours at Stony Gorge Reservoir

Recreation site at Stony Gorge
Elk Creek, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation has scheduled recreation area closures at Stony Gorge Reservoir from Oct. 15 through April 18, 2025. These dates may change due to inclement weather. While closures are in place, Reclamation will perform necessary maintenance tasks and allow for natural resource recovery. Facility closures and changes to hours are as follows:
- The Pines Group Site and General Campsites #1-25 will close Oct. 15. General Campsites #26-58 were previously closed and will remain closed.
- The Pines Day Use Area will remain open from sunrise to sunset.
- Skippers’ Point Day Use Area, Skippers’ Point Boat Launch, and Slip Disc, Disc Golf Course will remain open from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. Skippers’ Point Day Use Area will continue to offer restroom facilities, picnic tables, and water access.
