BEND, Ore. – The Bureau of Reclamation invites the public to provide comments for consideration in the development of an environmental impact statement for the Scoggins Dam Safety Modifications project. The public comment period is open from Jan. 25, 2024, to Feb. 26, 2024.
During this period, the public may participate in the scoping process through two in-person public meetings held on February 8, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., PST, at the Forest Grove Community Auditorium on 1915 Main Street Forest Grove, Ore. 97116. The same information will be presented at two virtual public meetings held on Feb. 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. PST, and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. PST. Registration is required in advance for the virtual public meetings.
A virtual meeting room is accessible 24 hours per day where visitors can view information about the project, view frequently asked questions, and submit comments. During the public meetings, subject matter experts will be available to answer questions about the project. The format of in-person meetings will be a combination of open house, presentation, and public comment opportunities.
