The Bureau of Reclamation will host three public meetings and invites public and agency comments to identify issues or alternatives to be considered in the environmental impact statement for the Middle Rio Grande Lower San Acacia Reach Improvements Project. The 30-day public comment period concludes Friday, June 30.
Reclamation seeks to identify relevant comments, concerns and issues that will influence the scope of the environmental impact statement and guide its development.
The public can provide input and participate in the scoping process through public meetings and the project website. Website visitors can also view information about the project, pose questions, view answers and submit comments.
Reclamation will hold public meetings at the following locations and times. (These meetings are offered in-person only):

Tuesday, June 20, 5-7 p.m.: International District Library, 7601 Central Ave., Albuquerque, NM 87108

Wednesday, June 21, 6-8 p.m.: New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology Macey Center, Upper Lobby, 909 Olive Lane, Socorro, NM 87801

Thursday, June 22, 6-8 p.m.: Sierra County Fairgrounds, Albert J. Lyon Event Center, 2953 S. Broadway Street, Truth or Consequences, NM 87901
Comments must be submitted by June 30 via email to bor-shaaao-lsari@usbr.gov, in person at a public meeting, through the project website, or by US mail.
