SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation’s California Great-Basin Region announced today the selection of Edward Young as the Region’s Program and Budget Office Manager. His office is responsible for developing, evaluating, revising, and accomplishing integrated long-term and short-term regional program plans, strategies, and budgets throughout southern Oregon, western Nevada, and central and Northern California.
Edward joined Reclamation in 2014 as a Regional Budget Analyst responsible for the full range of budget development and execution functions for the Northern California Area Office.
“Edward brings a wealth of experience to this position,” said Regional Director Ernest Conant. “We are grateful for Edward’s leadership and expertise in guiding our Region through the critical complexities of our budget process, and especially for the implementation of the historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding to address water and drought challenges in the West.”
Prior to joining Reclamation, Edward served as a budget analyst for the Department of Defense at Travis Air Force Base and Arlington, Virginia. Edward served on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2004 to 2008.
