Sean Torpey is the Bureau of Reclamation’s acting deputy commissioner and the senior advisor for policy and administration in the Commissioner’s Office. In this role he is the principal management advisor to the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner and ensures that bureau-wide initiatives are aligned with water and power priorities. Sean has been with Reclamation since 2006.
Sean most recently served as the chief of staff to the Commissioner and has served in Reclamation’s Yuma and Albuquerque Area offices, as well as both the Lower and Upper Colorado Basin Regions.
Sean is a native of Tucson, Arizona and is a certified project management professional. He holds a Bachelor of Science in management information systems from the University of Arizona, and a Master of Business Administration from East Tennessee State University.
