Notice of Availability

November 7, 2003

Dear Interested Party:

     This is to inform you of the availability of the Phase 1 Investigation Report for the Upper San Joaquin River Basin Storage Investigation. The report includes a description of the options evaluated and the six alternatives identified for further review in Phase 2. An Executive Summary has also been prepared.

     In Phase 2, Reclamation and the Department of Water Resources will prepare a Feasibility Study and environmental documentation. A Notice of Intent and Notice of Preparation will be published soon and public scoping meetings will be held early in 2004.

     The Executive Summary and Phase 1 Investigation Report are available on the project website, http://www.usbr.gov/mp/sccao/storage. For information, please call Marian Echeverria, 916/978-5105.
