Submitting an Application

The CVPCP and HRP utilize an application solicitation process to fund and carry out conservation actions within the Programs' project areas. A single process is applied to both Programs.

At the beginning of each funding cycle, a notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is posted on http://www.grants.gov/. A brief notice announcing the NOFO posting is mailed to prospective applicants using an established mailing list. Proponents who wish to be included on this list should contact Program Managers and provide address information. Federal agencies are not eligible to submit applications under the NOFO, however they are eligible to receive program funding. Interested Federal agencies should contact the Program Managers to discuss how to apply for funding.

Applications should be submitted in the Programs' standard format indicated in the NOFO. All applications are ranked using a numerical ranking process, but final funding decisions can be based on additional factors.
