Robert N. Broadbent, Commissioner,
Bureau of Reclamation, 1981-1984.
Broadbent holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology from Idaho State College. He worked as a pharmacist and politician in Clark County, Nevada from 1950 to 1975. Broadbent was elected the first Mayor of Boulder City, Nevada, and he also directed the Las Vegas Valley Water District. As Commissioner, the name of the Water and Power Resources Service reverted to Bureau of Reclamation in 1981, and the Reclamation Reform Act was enacted in 1982.
